100-Foot-Long Joint Is A Big Hit At Massachusetts Pot Fest
By David Moye / 12/19/2017
A 100-foot-long joint wasn’t just a pipe dream for a group of marijuana enthusiasts in Massachusetts.
On Saturday, a group of pot smokers at the Harvest Cup, a marijuana festival in Worcester, managed to make a joint that was the equivalent to one-third of a football field.
Keith Laham, who organized the rolling of the jumbo joint, told the Boston Globe that he and other “pot-icipants” trained for months before Saturday’s attempt.
“It’s pretty much impossible to roll a 100-foot bone by throwing paper out there and trying to just roll it,” Laham told the paper. “But when we get sections and teams of people, then we will be able to do it. We will have guys running up and down making sure it gets connected in the right places.”
Forty people worked on the joint, which was made from 3,000 yards of rolling paper, and a thousand grams of weed ? about 2.2 pounds.
The joint was completed by 4:20 p.m. local time, but honestly, its completion raised more questions than answers from observers.
“First thought is, when do we get to smoke it? That thing is epic!” Ali Kamran-Rad told CBS Boston.
Patrick Breton was curious about something else.
“Honestly, I want to know who has lungs powerful enough to suck air all the way from that end, to this end,” he told the station.
Andrew Mutty, who helped roll the supersized spliff, admitted smoking such a giant joint presented some challenges.
“It’s almost impossible to smoke it the way it is, so we’re going to break it down into sections, probably pile it up on top of each other, use some of the rolling paper we have to roll it tighter,” he told MassLive.com. “And then I really want to take a Shop-Vac or something, stick it on the end of it … then a blow-torch, and then just see what happens.”
Although the joint makers believe they set a record, it won’t be officially recognized by Guinness World Records.
“We currently do not monitor this category as it is deemed illegal under British law,” a Guinness spokeswoman told the Boston Globe. “As we are based out of the U.K., it is our policy to monitor record titles that are legal under British law.”
WOEFULTOURIST says, “Unfortunately, their attempt at a world record went up in smoke.”
Mystery as major city is covered in thick coating of BLUE snow in bizarre phenomenon
ByKelly-Ann Mills / 27 DEC 2017
A city has been left puzzled after it was covered in a thick coating of BLUE snow.
The bizarre phenomenon was captured on video after the coloured snow landed on St Petersburg in Russia
Residents were shocked at the incident and became worried it could have been due to toxic chemicals in the atmosphere.
Some believed the snow was a result of the demolition of the city’s chemical-pharmaceutical research institute.

According to local media, experts said the colours could have been caused by cobalt, a metallic element, or methylene blue, a substance used in some medical treatments.
Samples were taken to a laboratory for analysis and an investigation into the incident has been launched.
In February 2015, blue snow also occurred in the Russian city of Chelyabinsk, some 1,500 miles to the east of St Petersburg.
An investigation was carried out which revealed that the blue colour was due to food colouring used in Easter eggs.
The dye had got into the ventilation system of a factory and been spread all over the area.
It is not clear yet exactly why the latest blue snow has fallen.
WOEFULTOURIST says, “Comrade, we will tell them it is from Christmas egg dye which escaped thru ventilation shaft. Da, you can fool all of the people all of the time.”
